J.J. Jennings was born in Washington, DC, and raised in West Virginia, and has moved to Glen Rose along with his wife, Terry, to lead the church.

Jennings and his wife began the Pecos County Cowboy Church of Fort Stockton. That church was started in a park with just the two attending to begin with, and it had grown to a church of 50 within 12 months.  Today, approximately 70 people attend that church.

When Jennings was asked what he believes about the new work in Glen Rose, he stated, "I believe God has called Terry and me to Glen Rose to be part of a great work.  I know He has not given up on the Church and we aren't going to either.  The greatest days are still in front of us." Terry Jennings was born in Arlington, Virginia, and moved to Florida, where she met JJ.  They moved to Texas and fell in love with the people and beauty of our state. She states, "I have found life is so much greater in Our Father's will, our ministry is to be in the cowboy church movement and help reach those who are lost and unchurched by breaking down barriers."

Jennings also works as assistant director for the Texas Fellowship of Cowboy Churches, based in Waxahachie, Texas.
TFCC started about nine years ago with one man getting in line with God's vision of the western heritage culture.
This ovement has grown to 135 churches in Texas and is now expanding in adjoining states.
